Utilities Menu

This menu facilitates access to the following utility tools:

• Create Polygons launches a tool to digitise polygons. These can be saved and loaded from the Main Window to restrict areas where decorruation will be applied;
• Grid Statistics calculates and displays statistics for a grid. This is particularly useful when applied to a correction grid - it gives the user insight into the amplitudes of the lineaments that have been removed;
• Plug Nulls fills null cells by interpolation and extrapolation from non-null cells;
• Restore Nulls restores the nulls interpolated by Plug Nulls;

Occasionally, grids may have irregular boundaries that can upset the Decorrugation process. In this case, it may be advantageous to first fill ("plug") all the grid values by interpolation and extrapolation. After the plugged grid has been decorrugated, nulls can be re-inserted using Restore Nulls.
