The Menu Bar

The menu bar is used for setting the working directory, viewing log files, setting aliases and control parameters, launching processes and tools, and seeking help. Subsequent sections in this User Guide will describe the functions of the menu items The menu bar separates items into functional groups as follows:
- File: This is used for setting the working directory, viewing log files, and launching the License Manager.
- Set Aliases And Parameters: Used for setting and saving aliases and parameters. Aliases and parameters can be read from (and saved to) a control file.
- Decorrugate: Launches Decorrugation - the removal of elongate anomalies from a grid.
- Microlevel: Launches Microlevelling - the application of the decorrugation corrections to line data in an Intrepid database.
- Polygon: Used for loading previously digitised polygons, or for clearing previously loaded polygons.
- Utilities: utilities for creating polygons, calculating grid statistics, plugging nulls in grids, and restoring nulls to previously plugged grids.
- Help: Provides access to the MicroLevel User Guide.
Important Note:
Microlevel makes processing easy by facilitating the setting of most aliases and parameters for processing in one place (Set Aliases And Parameters menu). These are stored in memory and shared between processes (tools). They remain available until a new Working Directory is set. To maintain the integrity of the data, and the stored parameters, only one tool may be executed at a time.
