Calculate Radioelement Ratios

This tool calculates the standard Th/K, U/K and U/Th ratios between the radioelements. The method avoids the complications of small, or negative, values by replacing values less than a specified minimum with the minimum value for the purpose of calculating the ratio.

• Potassium Field: the potassium elemental concentrations (% K);
• Uranium Field: the uranium elemental concentrations (ppm eU);
• Thorium Field: the thorium elemental concentrations (ppm eTh);
• Ratio Th/K Field: the Th/K ratio. A new field is created if the specified field does not exist;
• Ratio U/K Field: the U/K ratio. A new field is created if the specified field does not exist;
• Ratio U/Th Field: the U/Th ratio. A new field is created if the specified field does not exist;
• Minimum K value: potassium values less than this are replaced by this value for calculating the ratio;
• Minimum U value: uranium values less than this are replaced by this value for calculating the ratio;
• Minimum Th value: thorium values less than this are replaced by this value for calculating the ratio.
